Palazzo Vecchio  Marittima, Puglia

Beautiful historic walled palazzo with comfortable accommodation and charming gardens plus super pool in the wonderful deep south of Italy.

Palazzo Vecchio

Live like a lord in this fantastic historic manor house dating back to the late 18th century. Palazzo Vecchio sits in the middle of 4 towers and thick fortress walls offering complete peace and calm from the bustling life found outside the gates in the lovely little town of Marittima. Now a listed building, the Palazzo offers spacious bedrooms and plenty of wonderful communal areas both inside and outside in the charming gardens.

Warm hospitality awaits you on arrival – the owners who have carefully overseen the renovation process from a working farm house to a great B&B will greet you with a wealth of local knowledge.

There are 6 bedrooms at Palazzo Vecchio, all different in size and style but all very comfortable with air conditioning, heating and en-suite bathrooms. A large lounge is the perfect place for enjoying a book in peace, or perhaps a glass of wine, and breakfast is served during the hotter months on a charming terrace in the walled gardens – the perfect start to the day.

With various paths and romantic corners in the garden there are plenty of areas to enjoy the beautiful setting of Palazzo Vecchio. A refreshing dip in the inviting pool may be followed by a chilled aperitivo under an umbrella or one of the large shady trees.

This oasis is located in the town of Marittima where you can experience Southern Italy at its’ best. There are some interesting shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy all within easy walking distance and the shimmering coast between Diso and Marina di Marittimo is only a couple of kilometres away.

We are sure that once you have a taste of this part of Italy known as Il Salento, you will be back for more – it is totally addictive! Palazzo Vecchio is a super base to put it to the test.
