Super villa sleeping four guests in a fabulous beach-side location, with private pool, set in a nature reserve. Close to Porto Palo and Selinunte, with lively bars and restaurants.
Arrival day: Saturday Car hire: Recommended
This beachside property is a fabulous find for Essential Italy. It is nestled between the pretty fishing village of Selinunte, with its lively bars and restaurants, and the seaside town of Porto Palo di Menfi where you’ll find more beach life. The beach just below Jabia Beach House forms part of The Foce del Belice nature reserve which is one of the last remaining stretches of mainly untouched Sicilian coastline.
Jabia Beach House occupies an idyllic spot on this beautiful coastline, paths lead directly down from the house on to the white, sandy beach and an evening stroll in the direction of Selinunte will lead you to a super beach restaurant during the summer months. The garden has been carefully landscaped and is full of herbs and the scent of rosemary, thyme and sage will fill the air during the evenings.
Entry into the house is from a small terrace which has deckchairs from where you can admire the view directly over the pool out to sea. Doors lead directly into a pretty open plan kitchen/dining and living room. The kitchen has an oven and two gas rings along with a fridge. At the rear of the living room are two bedrooms, one with bunks and another double bedroom. These two rooms share a shower. There are very steep steps leading to the first floor where there is a third bedroom and en-suite shower room. Due to the stairs, this room is not suitable for young children.
To the side of the house, there is a covered dining area with a barbecue where you can rustle up dinner and enjoy a glass of local wine secure in the knowledge you’ve got one of the best views around for miles.

Lovely accommodation in an idyllic location. The outside areas were impeccable and we loved the relaxed feel. The service offered by Roberto and Stefan was excellent – they were warm and welcoming and generous – arriving with delicious food gifts when we saw them and when they came to clean the pool. The gorgeous location was worth staying in a more relaxed and well-used property, the pool and beach were wonderful and the warmth of the caretakers was really welcome.

It was a wonderful holiday and Roberto is a really nice person so we really enjoyed our stay. However he could do with adding more wine glasses and a few mugs plus maybe some soft mattresses for the hard plastic sunbeds. Most important though is to sort the WiFi!

Couldn't have been better. Exactly what we wanted. We had an excellent time. Another coup for Essential Italy!
