Found in the quaint little town of Vignacastrisi, Palazzo Guglielmo gives you the chance to live like a Pugliese Lord! As soon as the large wooden gate is opened and you get a glimpse of the courtyard and gardens, you'll want to close the gate behind you so that the secret is not let out of the bag.
This impressive building was totally restored in 2008 maintaining the original architecture and features. Part of the building has been transformed into 2 very spacious apartments and the owner has carefully created an ambience of real calm and tranquillity you'll find a choice of terraces, leafy gardens, a fragrant orange grove, a super pool for the hot hours of the day, plenty of shady places to sit and simply contemplate plus an impressive wine cellar for those interested in sampling some of the excellent Salentino wines. A small reading room along with an interesting library complete the picture and thankfully you will not find a television anywhere to break the spell!
This apartment is reached by a short and glorious walk through the perfumed gardens to the independent property. A wooden gate and path lead up to the lovely private, furnished terrace and the main door leads into a stylish country kitchen complete with a big wooden table. A spacious lounge enables you to escape the heat of the day and is furnished with sofas and armchairs plus french windows that open out onto the courtyard. There is also a small shower room and WC on the ground floor. A spiral staircase leads to the first floor where there are 2 double bedrooms, a shower room plus a small single bedroom that has access out on to the roof terrace.
Located on the top floor of the palazzo, this apartment also boasts plenty of space and is particularly characterful with a mix of antique and contemporary furnishings. The entrance leads into a day room with a piano and sofa which follows through into a big but simple kitchen. From here a corridor leads to a double bedroom with ensuite shower room, another double bedroom and a twin bedroom that share a shower room. A great roof terrace is above the apartment which is a perfect spot for a bit of stargazing in the warm summer nights (please note that the roof terrace may be used by all the guests at Palazzo Guglielmo).
Breakfast is a daily treat and weather permitting you may enjoy this by the pool or otherwise in the pretty breakfast room inside the Palazzo.
Once you are safely inside the age-old walls of Palazzo Guglielmo were pretty sure you’ll not want to leave in a hurry. One of the great advantages is that you are actually located in the centre of Vignacastrisi, there are a couple of bars and a restaurant all within very easy walking distance, and the Adriatic sea is just 3 kilometres away. You may venture out any stage of your stay comforted by the fact that you can make a fast retreat at any time you like!

A great location, fairly close to airports, major roads and the coast. We loved the amount of space we had. It was kept very clean. It was great to have Bed and Breakfast rather than just room only. All the hotel staff were very helpful and looked after us.
