About Casa Iblea

Casa Iblea is a stylish contemporary villa set in classic Sicilian gardens and ideally located to explore the wonderful Baroque towns of south-east Sicily.

Casa Iblea fits perfectly into the rolling hills between Ragusa and the coastline. A typical farmhouse feel has been maintained externally and yet this house oozes contemporary style and chic Sicilian design.

The pool and well kept garden wrap around the house and provide ample outdoor areas for relaxing and dining. There is a fabulous outdoor dining area. The house is open plan and the comfortable living area links to the superb kitchen. All the rooms on this single storey house have direct access to the gardens too. There are two double bedrooms and one double/twin. They all have modern en suite bathrooms with showers. An extra cloakroom completes the interior space.

Although Casa Iblea is set in a rural location the position is ideal for exploring the Baroque wonders of this area and also accessing the fabulous beaches and coastal towns nearby. Ragusa, Modica, Scicli are all worthy of extended visits and the seafront towns of Donnalucata, Marina di Ragusa and Punta Secca have great beaches and a host of places to dine out at. This area of Sicily boasts great wines and superb food. We think Casa Iblea ticks all the boxes.

The driveway to Casa Iblea is quite narrow, fine for a small or medium sized car but not a wide people carrier.

Michele could not have been more helpful and accommodating, we felt very well looked after. The setting was so peaceful and the aspect over the pool to the landscape was magical. The beds were comfortable and all four of us slept like babies. The cooking area of the kitchen looked very smart but wasn't very practical if you are a keen cook and we would have struggled if there had been six people. (However, I would definitely go again!). The table tennis was much enjoyed and we thoroughly appreciated the highly considered architecture and the way it was designed to increase internal comfort in a hot climate, with minimal energy use.
