Italian Life on Your Doorstep in Tuscany

One of the most common requests we receive from those of you considering a self-catering holiday in Tuscany is that you’d like to be within walking distance to restaurants, shops and bars. It’s always a tricky one as many of you also want villas with pools, views over countryside and – of course – peace and quiet.

This five bedroom Tuscan villa pretty much ticks all the boxes. It’s in heart of the village of Fabbrica di Peccioli which has restaurants, shops and bars. The villa is on the main street with the rear of the house facing splendid countryside offering beautiful views.

This Palazzo is on the edge of the village of San Giovanni d’Asso which is in the heart of the Crete Senese, the unique and spectacular countryside to the south of Siena.
La Capanna sleeps 6
Adjacent to La Consuma and has a gate which connects the gardens making it perfect for a large party.
La Vecchia Sassa apartments sleeping 2–5
This small group of apartments is in the village of Iano a short drive from Montaione. Restaurants, bars and a village convenience store are all within very easy walking distance.

We’re cheating with this one, as it’s over the border into Umbria, but it’s definitely worth a mention, in the small village of Citerna with some of the most amazing views we’ve got on offer!

This one has it all! It’s 500 metres from the town of Montaione (albeit a walk up quite steep hill), which has bars, restaurants and shops in abundance. It also has one very fantastic view and is in a very tranquil location. All boxes ticked!
Casa Alberto sleeps 2
This simple one bedroom cottage is just outside the walls of San Gimignano. The gardens face away from the walls offering splendid views over the countryside. You can while your days away in the gardens and then enjoy the beautiful town by night when the day trippers have left.
