Casa Lilla Lascari, near Cefalu

Casa Lilla is a great summer home for a family holiday. Part of a small and extremely hospitable farm-house, the house shares the land with 2 smaller apartments and another house where the friendly owners live.

A good sized pool is shared by all but there is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the superb views across the countryside over to the vibrant blue sea. The hillside position ensures that a gentle breeze helps to keep you cool in the hotter months and should you wish to bathe in the wonderful seawater then you are only 5km away from the coastline. A huge plus is the small restaurant on site meaning that should you wish to take a rest from your own kitchen you may enjoy the tasty fare on offer from the lady of the house (who also happens to be a great cook!). No doubt you will find that the wine and your Italian conversation will flow freely by the end of the first course!

Casa Lilla is set out on 2 levels – on the lower level you will find a lounge complete with fireplace, a twin bedroom, a shower room and a dining area/ kitchenette equipped with a hob, oven, and fridge freezer. On the second level there is an internal balcony area with TV and sofa plus a double bedroom.

A covered patio is found outside overlooking the gardens and this is furnished with table and chairs maximising your time al-fresco. The pool is most tempting and sunbeds carefully are positioned will mean that you can enjoy the vista with your toes almost in the water.

Should you wish to venture out, there are many place to visit within easy reach – Cefalu, Palermo, Gratteri and the fantastic Parco Naturalistico delle Madonie are all not to be missed. You may however be happy dozing, day-dreaming and awaiting a scrumptious dinner after a busy day at the pool!
