Villa Cognaia is perched high above the town of Arezzo and from this vantage point, guests can survey the beautiful valley and town below from the comfort of their pool and villa. Whilst there is a sense of privacy and isolation the villa is only 3 kilometres from Arezzo and within striking distance of many wonderful towns and villages; such as Cortona, Siena, Florence and many more.
Whilst it is the view from the villa which impresses immediately you will quickly fall in love with the rest of the grounds and house. The accommodation is spread over three floors and the furnishings are comfortable and elegant.
Ground floor
The living room has a wood burning fireplace, there is an elegant dining room which can seat 12 people. The kitchen is large and has a fantastic stove, there are all mod cons here (even two dishwashers) and from the kitchen one can access one of the outdoor patios where breakfast and lunches will be taken. The kitchen is a delight and we are sure you will enjoy cooking up some Tuscan treats here.
First floor
Here there are three double bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms (one with shower and two with bathtubs). The first floor is completed by a toilet room and a covered terrace which has a table tennis table.
Second floor
The double bedroom here has an en-suite bathroom with a hydro-massage shower, this inter-connects with a large room with a double sofa bed (suitable for children), a further bedroom has a double bed with en-suite bathroom with hydro-massage shower. The billiard room is splendid and a great place to relax during the hot hours of the day.
All bedrooms have air conditioning, the house is equipped with wifi and there are toys and games for children in the garden and pool.
Much of your time at the villa will be spent either around the pool or relaxing in the shade of the splendid gazebos and under the trees in the well kept and huge gardens. Villa Cognaia offers not only style, comfort and one of the best views you will find but it is also close enough to the town of Arezzo to allow you to pop into town to enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner in the stunning medieval centre of town. Also at the villa there is a outdoor gym for the active ones in your party and also there is a well-stocked allotment from where you can help yourselves to delicious fresh vegetables and fruit.
Other wonderful Tuscan treasures are within a short drive and Florence can be reached easily by train from Arezzo. Having said this we do believe that every evening you will want to in prime position as the sun goes down and the lights of the valley below start to twinkle.
