We could not be more thrilled to offer you this totally original and stunning villa for a super summer holiday. Perched on the top of granite rocks with the sea spreading out around you, all the rooms and terraces have amazing views in all directions. This is the place to stock up the kitchen and then just sit back and watch the ever-changing marine world around you from breakfast to dinner time. We honestly don't think that Il Nido can be matched for its breathtaking position.
Immediately through the private gates is car parking, then a few steps lead up to the front door. The villa is circular in shape, very simply furnished and perfect for summer living. The spacious lounge is home to comfy armchairs and seating, a rustic fireplace and a selection of books should you get tired of the view (unlikely), the french windows open on to the main terrace with stunning sea views, and you can watch the wind and kite surfers across at Porto Pollo. The open-plan dining area is at the back of the lounge with a separate and very well equipped kitchen including oven, gas hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher along with a glass door that leads out onto a smaller terrace overlooking the most beautiful rock pool, perfect for a morning dip to start the day.
Leading from the lounge is also a breakfast room with picture windows and, once again, that unforgettable view, which is just the place to enjoy an early morning Italian coffee in the cool of the villa. Three simply furnished double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, all with ensuite bathrooms, complete the property although we imagine you may well be rather late to bed – the stunning sunset followed by some serious star-gazing late into the night should not be missed.
Externally, the granite terraces all overlook the sea and there is a path that leads down steps to the rocks from where you can bathe. There is also a tiny beach at the rock pool next to the villa and spectacular weathered granite rocks also help in making entry into the sparkling sea a little easier. The villas elevated position means a cool wind blows through at all times making the mid-summer heat bearable, but should the wind get a bit too much the owner has added a super wooden deck, snuggled between rocks, completely sheltered from the wind, where you can sunbathe or just snooze in comfort.
For the full 360° view, take the steps up to the white-washed roof terrace where the sensational scenery unfolds with the cliffs of Bonifacio in Corsica as a backdrop. Don’t forget to pack your binoculars, they will be well used at this unique property.
Please note: the villa will not be rented to families with children under the age of 10 years due to its open, elevated position on the rocks.
