Festival time in Puglia

Puglia for one of the oldest and biggest Carnevale celebrations in Italy. Processions on Sunday 27/1, 3/2, 10/2 and Tuesday 12/2, give a wonderful opportunity to soak up the enthusiastic partying amongst thousands of locals, many in costumes. Watch the two hour parade of huge ornate, mechanical and colourful paper mache floats filled with dancers, singers, jugglers, acrobats etc. Fantastic food and drink too – sample local specialities including wild boar.
