Here’s what our guests say about Villa Emilio

Absolutely amazing, beautiful villa, grounds and clinically clean. We had the best time in Abruzzo and Villa Emilio! Francesca and Tommaso are the best hosts ever! Not intrusive but so proud of their villa and region and want you to have the best holiday possible. From personally taking us to the local town, Fest, buying traditional Cuisine, lamb kebabs, oysters, Aperitivo and booking and suggesting restaurants and excursions! They go the extra mile. We felt safe knowing we had the support of the wonderful hosts and thoroughly enjoyed living in the villa, it’s pool, the bbq, and peacefulness. The region has so much to offer, clear blue sea, stunning mountains and fantastic vista and lakes, the river trip was so peaceful and the food and wine delicious. Can’t recommend Villa Emilio enough and for an amazing Italian Experience... thank you so much!

Simply outstanding. The villa and grounds were immaculate and we wanted for nothing. For a modern villa (which we loved) it also had a very homely and lived in feel about it. We felt the owners were extremely helpful in helping us to get our bearings and we agreed to meet up at the villa where they shared some local delicacies with us. This is something we wouldn't normally do while we are away but we really wanted to get to grips with Abruzzo and felt the owners were very keen to promote the region. Our stay wasn't really long enough so we hope to return again in a few years.

This is an amazing house in an area with a lot to offer in terms of activities, gastronomy, sandy beaches etc. This is our second time in Villa Emilio and we thoroughly enjoyed our sray. Francesca and Tommaso are the nicest people and always ready to offer 'concierge style' personal service with bookings, recommendations for activities etc. This house is a gem in an area of Italy which is authentic and 'Non-touristic'. Villa Emilio comes highly recommended!

It really is a fantastic place for two weeks of relaxation and investigation. Bit remote as I (dad) had to drive for food etc but we knew that before departing. The whole package it has to be said is outstanding right from and to the welcome, the gifts, the local advice, the quality and uniqueness of the accommodation, the facilities and the people running it. Must not forget the fantastic movie screen and pool.

You get what you pay for, top of the range for those not seeking traditional holiday accommodation but rather sleek modern convenience… owners were very responsive and helpful. We have used Essential Italy for a Puglia masseria and now a modernist villa in the Abruzzo. Both have been highly successful and well worth the cost.

Villa Emilio is truly special – modern and comfortable, it is immaculate, well cared for and spotlessly clean. It offers everything you could possibly need and more. The villa is surrounded by olive trees and vineyards – a haven of peace and tranquility – with views to the mountains beyond. As if the setting, the villa and the lovely pool were not enough, the owners, Francesca and Tommaso, gave us a wonderful welcome… Tommaso is very keen to introduce visitors to his little-known and very unspoiled region of Abruzzo. He took a walk with us around Ortona, showed us where to buy fresh cheese and bread, brought us breakfast pastries, organised a visit to the neighbouring vineyard… the list goes on and on… charming and genuine hosts – but, at the same time, never intrusive. This is the second holiday we have booked through Essential Italy… The service is professional but friendly and personal. I would definitely book with Essential Italy again - in fact, I already have!
