Villa Umberto is located in the delightful village of Porto Rafael and boasts one of the best positions with truly amazing views, from both shady and sunny terraces, across the bay to the stunning islands of La Maddalena Archipelago.
Set high in pretty landscaped gardens full of indigenous plants and bushes, a granite pathway leads up to the main terrace with a backdrop of magnificent rocks. The big terrace has 2 dining areas, one uncovered with a huge rustic table and the other under the portico of the house. Dining here at any time of day is a pleasure as it always catches the breeze - you can gaze at the shimmering sea and fabulous panorama whilst enjoying some grilled fish straight off the barbeque, found between the rocks at the back of the villa.
Large glass doors open in to the modern and chic open plan lounge and dining area – eating indoors has almost the same view as outside making it perfect for all-season living. A very well equipped and modern kitchen leads off the dining room – the owner loves to cook – and you will not want for anything should you wish to try your hand at rustling up some Italian specialities.
The bedrooms are simply but stylishly furnished with wooden fittings and white furnishings – cool, elegant and a constant reminder you are close to the sea. Leading from the lounge, there is a double bedroom with doors that open on to the front terrace, a second double bedroom and a twin bedroom - all with their own shower rooms, air conditioning and TV.
Leading from the front terrace down some steps there is a another twin bedroom with wooden bunk beds and shower room – great for teenagers or older children.
Villa Umberto is beautifully finished and has a lot of style to it – we know that it will enjoyed by many guests and it’s super location much appreciated by those looking for something a little special.
Please note that the villa is accessed by 30 uneven granite steps with no hand rail so not suitable for anyone with walking problems or who are unstable on their feet. We also do not recommend this property for children under the age of 8 as the terrace has some unguarded drops.
