Being the second biggest island in the Mediterranean, there is a wealth of fascinating places to visit during Sardinia holidays. The mysterious and mountainous region of the Barbagia sits in central Sardinia where you will meet only shepherds as they herd their sheep to new pastures with their jangling bells echoing around the hillside.

The scenery changes dramatically as you approach Southern Sardinia – the land flattens out and the beaches stretch into the distance, just perfect for family beach holidays to Sardinia.
