Villa Vista Lago enjoys a marvellous location on the border between Tuscany and Umbria. The views over Lake Trasimeno will mesmerise you day and night. The new owners have turned this villa into a super contemporary villa which makes the most of the wonderful location.
On the ground floor there is an airy open-plan living room with a stunning floor to ceiling window opening out to the terrace, offering wide and glorious lake views; the living room has a modern fireplace and a reading area with a library, a large corner sofa (the red one in the photos has recently been replaced) and a flat screen TV. The ground floor continues with a cool and spacious kitchen opening to the covered outdoor dining area, a large billiard room, a bathroom and laundry room.
Thoughtfully designed for families or friends, its 4 first floor double bedrooms (one of them can be made-up for twin or double use), have access to a broad terrace with lake views; 2 of them are complete with en suite bathroom with shower; while 2 bedrooms share a bathroom. On the ground floor there is a small room with a bed that can be used by 1 or 2 children/kids as extra bed. There is a toilet room nearby.
The villa has been designed to be naturally insulated in the hottest periods. The height difference of about 300 metres, the ventilated hilly location, the perfect insulation, the effective shutters and the high ceilings all lead to comfortable temperatures day and night.
The beautiful pool is sunk into the terraced garden and makes the most of that view. It is adjoined by a shaded dining area in front of the villa with a barbecue, stylishly furnished with cushioned sofas and deckchairs. Around the pool are numerous sun loungers, to enjoy the view and sunbath. The garden has a lawn area next to the villa with a table and chairs, while in the terraced areas there are lavender bushes and typically Mediterranean vegetation: aromatic herbs, wild roses, brooms, fruit trees, olive trees and vines.
Villa Vista Lago is superbly located for those of you wishing to get out and about. Tuoro is the nearest small town (5km) and here you will find local shops and places to dine out at. There is a local trattoria just 1km from the house too. The lake has much to offer with boat trips to the islands and some lovely towns in its shores. Further afield you can visit the beautiful towns of Cortona, Perugia, Siena and even Florence (1.45h drive). Add tothese a host of small hidden gems and we are sure a week will not be long enough.
There is also an electric car recharge point at this villa. 2 paddle boards available for use.

We had a perfect holiday. Villa Vista Lago has absolutely stunning views of the lake and distant hills. When we weren't wandering around local hilltop towns (Cortona, Assisi, Gubbio, Montepulciano) we relaxed around the pool, on the terrace or balcony watching the clouds float by and spectacular sunsets. Inside is a well-appointed clean spacious modern house. A quiet hillside location covered in green trees, but with a nearby restaurant and supermarket not far away. The very helpful local property manager was always available via WhatsApp. What more could you ask for? August 2022
