Description

Casale Condotti offers privacy and ultimate comfort in the heartland of vibrant Umbria. The perfect combination of history and modernity, luxury and rustic charm, seclusion and yet only a very short drive or a longish walk to Trevi central location. This villa is distinctively different from traditional holiday homes.

Casale Condotti is surrounded by Trevi’s famous olive groves, with many 200-year-old olive trees lining the private access road. The location of the casale ensures full privacy while offering easy access to all the amenities of the historic centre of Trevi - shopping, food, art and culture. 1 km away, 30 minutes on foot. Across the valley there is the wine district of Umbria, hills covered by miles of vineyards around the town of Montefalco. Casale Condotti is a 5-minute drive from the main road which leads to many of Umbria’s beautiful towns and cities like Spello, Assisi, Spoleto, Perugia, Todi, Gubbio, Bevagna and Montefalco, The oldest part of Casale Condotti dates back to 1180 when it served as a watchtower for the nearby aqueduct. The tower was subsequently renovated in 1714 before an Italian architect added two modern buildings, including a striking glass-and-metal structure that blends in with the casale’s ancient stonework.

The stunning infinity pool and outdoor living space provide the perfect environment to enjoy what is arguably is one of Umbria’s best views. All rooms in the main house and the guest house (serra) offer panoramic views over the Umbrian Valley. The traditional stone house has been recently and carefully restored creating very contemporary and stylish interiors that are perfectly combined with the ancient architecture of the building. The result is a stylish and functional house with a luxurious feel. Casale Condotti is ideal for families or groups of friends holidaying together, everyone with privacy and comfort.     The main house is on 3 levels. The guest house is a separate building with a glass-and-metal structure that offers extra privacy, it is made up of a double bedroom and ensuite bathroom with shower. The ground floor of the main house features a spacious arched living room with a fireplace. A French door gives direct access to the outdoor area and pool. On the same floor, there is a well-equipped kitchen in modern style, with a large dining table for wining and dining with friends. The kitchen also has direct access to the outside dining area. This floor has a service bathroom and a utility room with laundry area.

The sleeping area of the main house is on the first and second floor. It is composed of 3 bedrooms, one master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe, a duplex triple bedroom on the first floor and a twin bedroom on the second floor of the main house. On the first floor, there is also a nice sitting room that give access to the bedrooms. The fourth, double, bedroom is located in the guest house (serra).

Please note that the bathrooms of the triple duplex and twin bedrooms are nice but small, whereas the bathroom of the master bedroom and the one in the guest house are larger. One of the smaller bathrooms has a cute small window inside the shower box, from where you can enjoy one of the best views of the entire property, towards the village of Trevi and the countryside. The first and second floor of the main house is air-conditioned, the ground floor is fresher, due to the thick stone walls and no direct sunlight. The guest house is air-conditioned.

Casale Condotti features a large terraced garden of 150 square metres. The garden is embellished with Mediterranean plants, olive trees which are dramatically planted next to the pool), aromatic herbs, lavender, large pots of lemons and mandarins. 8 loungers complete the outdoor furniture and cloth sails provide shaded areas in front of the house and by the pool. 1 hectare of private fenced garden surrounds the house.

The portico between the main house and the guest house is probably the most enjoyable area of the entire property, with very large table seating 12, gas barbecue, direct access to the kitchen and a smaller table with a marble top that is ideal to prepare food.

Infinity pool: 4 x 11m, 1.5m (max) deep, with night lighting.

The house is accessible by car, the small gravel road which ends at the property. There is a lovely footpath which offers delightful walks.

Casale Condotti is a wonderful addition to the Essential Italy Umbria programme and we are sure our clients will fall in love with this unique home-from-home.

What our guests say

Rchard McGinn, Leeds

Outstanding property in an outstanding location with a view which is breathtaking. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! June 2019

David Tucker, London

Fantastic villa and pool. Best one we've been to. Everyone loved it. Great location. 30 mins walk into the centre of Trevi. Practical stuff like supermarkets and railway station east to get to. Local people very friendly – always waved 'ciao'.
