Podere Talante enjoys a wonderful location. Set within spacious grounds the villa is only a few minutes from San Casciano dei Bagni. The soaring cypress trees which tower over the villa leave you in no doubt that you are in Tuscany.
The owners have paid great attention to detail and have restored this villa to a high level. The original house dates back to the 16th century and a sense of history exudes from the walls. There is a super covered portico where many a meal will be enjoyed here. Set slightly above the house is the delightful pool. The highlight for us is the superb kitchen which has all mod cons and everything you need to whip up a Tuscan feast.
All the bedrooms are comfortable and throughout the house a stylish rustic charm reigns. This corner of Tuscany is less touristy than some others and there are small towns and villages to be discovered. The nearby San Casciano dei Bagni is charming and a centre for thermal baths and recently hit the news for Roman and Etruscan finds.
