Il Fienile is situated on the edge of the small hamlet of Metato. This lovely semi-detached house has a large private terrace,a fabulous view and pretty swimming pool which is shared with another property. The hamlet of Metato is perched high in the hills above the Versilia coast and has changed little over the centuries.
Entry is into a small entrance hall where steps lead to an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with a hob, oven and dishwasher. There is also a shower room on the ground floor. Stairs lead from the lounge area to the large double bedroom with fabulous views over Pietrasanta and out to sea. There is a door leading from the bedroom to a small private terrace. The shared pool is situated in the garden just a short walk from the house. Worth noting, there is a caretaker in the village who will be happy to do washing for you.
The owner of this property is a local architect and has restored the building with great care and he is passionate about the hamlet of Metato. He has a small cantina where he sells local produce including vegetables, olive oil and wine. In the village of Metato there is a small restaurant which is open three or four days each week. If you're looking for a slice of Tuscan heaven this is where you should head.

Many thanks to Manuela for her kind and helpful introduction to Il Fienile and everything in Metato. She was lovely and helped us on a couple of occasions when I needed to phone her. I would highly recommend Essential Italy to anyone. I know I can reply on excellent accommodation and service.

We had an excellent holiday at Il Fienile, thanks. We loved the place, and Stephano and his assistants could not have been more helpful. Essential Italy comes through again!
