Great Sicilian villa with lovely private pool set in well kept gardens, very close to the ‘Blue Flag’ status beach and the pretty town of Santa Maria Focallo.

Villa Gianni is located in a residential area just 300 metres from the sandy beach of Santa Maria Focallo close to the pretty town of Ispica. The beach was awarded ‘Blue Flag’ status in 2010, it’s worth noting that only seven beaches have ‘Blue Flag’ status in Sicily and three are within the small area of Pozallo. If you can drag yourself off the beach, towns such as Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Noto and even Siracusa are all within easy access for day trips too.
Entry to the house is via an electronic gate leading into a small private driveway. The house is all on ground level with entry at the rear of the property into a lounge/dining room and well-equipped kitchen. A hall leading off the lounge leads to two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. There are two shower rooms in the main house and a third which is accessed externally close to the outside kitchen area. There is also a small laundry room.
The outside kitchen is well-equipped with a pizza oven and barbecue and we are confident many hours will be spent around the dining table chatting and enjoying good food. In the well-manicured gardens, there is ample seating to relax under a tree with a good book or cold glass of Sicilian white wine.

We loved Villa Gianni, very well set up for us as a family of 4, plenty of room and we made use of outside kitchen too. The beds were comfy, the rooms were cool using the air-conditioning at night. We spent most days by the pool or in the shady garden areas, then went to different beautiful towns in the evenings: Ragusa, Modica, Noto, Marzamemi and Scicli all highly recommended and easy drives to and fro. We spent 2 nights in Catania before the villa and went on a Mount Etna tour, visited catacombs and Pantallica on the way to the villa and came home via Ortigia. Feel like the villa was the perfect spot to explore the whole area. Beach very easy walk, we went for early morning swims in beautiful calm and warm seas. Loredana gave us a friendly welcome, the local bakery visited the lane each morning by van to sell fresh bread and sweet treats. August 2023
