Located in the medieval village of Castelmola above the lively and beautiful town of Taormina, Hotel Villa Angela boasts one of the most magnificent views encompassing the mystical Mount Etna and the magical Bay of Naxos.
Careful restoration with the most precise attention to detail has maintained a truly authentic feeling of Sicilian hospitality. The ornate ironwork, typical in the traditional Sicilian villas, the use of local stone mixed with the colorful ceramics of Caltagirone and the traditional wooden furniture give a unique and distinctive Sicilian feel to this great hotel.
The 27 rooms are spread out over the 3 floors that sit below the reception and bar area. The rooms have all been stylishly furnished with elegant polished chestnut wood furniture which perfectly complements the warm colours of the island – a constant reminder that you are in glorious Sicily. All the rooms have a balcony furnished with table and chairs from where you can relax and enjoy the amazing view of the ‘moody’ Mount Etna and the stunning Giardini-Naxos coast.
There is a great choice of accommodation at Villa Angela ranging from deluxe rooms to sumptuous suites. Some of the deluxe superior rooms have four-poster beds and hydro massage baths ideal for a romantic escape – just let us know your requirements and we will do our very best to match your needs!
The restaurant is located on the first floor and has a super terrace making it the perfect, peaceful place from where to sit and enjoy your first cappuccino of the day along with a rich buffet breakfast and amazing views. Lunch is also served here and it is a special place for an aperitivo in the evening before making your way down to Taormina for a ‘passeggiata’ and some dinner. (Please note that the hotel restaurant is open for dinner only on Monday evenings). On the same level as the restaurant you will find a great solarium should you wish top up your tan and the shimmering pool invites you for a cooling dip at all times of the day.
You will want to spend some time in the charming town of Taormina during your stay at Villa Angela and the thoughtful owner provides a shuttle service so that you may easily stroll the streets, browse the fabulous shops, admire the fantastic panoramas and dine in some of the restaurants. Should you be feeling energetic you may like to walk down – it’s about one kilometre – but remember to check out the times for the shuttle back up the hill!
Should you wish to spend some really lazy days in the glorious Sicilian sunshine, a shuttle service can be arranged to some of the lovely sandy beaches nearby, where sunbeds and umbrellas will be awaiting you – sheer bliss! We are sure you will very happy at Hotel Villa Angela.

We all had a lovely time in Taormina. The hotel was really nice and all the staff were fantastic. I'm glad we didn't have a hire car as we didn't really need it. It was really easy to get a shuttle bus or walk down into town. There is a lot to do in this area, such as Etna tours, boat trips, art museums, the amphitheatre, Castelmola and the beach. We would love to come back to Sicily another time. August 2022

Really nice room... unforgettable, breathtaking "bella vista" of the magical Bay of Naxos and the mystical Mount Etna from our balcony!! Getting there via the windy narrow road to Castelmola was "challenging" to say the least, but worth the endeavour for the end result. We also enjoyed Taormina for all that it has to offer and especially the Teatro Greco.
