The owner of Lu Ciaccaru had the dream of converting her childhood home into a small and elegant holiday residence with bed and breakfast accommodation for years – she was thrilled to announce the opening in May 2007. Her enthusiasm to share with her guests the magnificent Mediterranean countryside that surrounds the carefully restructured buildings (now 2 villas) and new suites/bedrooms are reflected in the super accommodation provided.

The spacious grounds are all laid to lawn, the entrance leads to you to the car park and reception. The gardens gently roll on to the fabulous swimming pool, the suites (two separate rows of 5 rooms each), and the historic farm building, now renamed Lo Stazzo. The indigenous flora has remained untouched, the pervading ambiance is one of peace and tranquility, and Lu Ciaccaru is becoming very popular with our regular travellers.

The Accommodation

Suites (10)

Spacious and typically furnished double bedrooms with smaller lounge area – where the sofa may be used as a further double bed – plus bathroom with shower and hairdryer. The private verandas overlook the gardens and are furnished with comfortable outdoor furniture. All suites have air-conditioning and TV.

Junior Suites (5)

These newer additions are located on the hillside above the reception and are beautifully furnished with all the same facilities as the suites. The rooms are spacious and have verandas looking out over the countryside and across to the town of Arzachena. A super separate pool sits behind the rooms exclusively for the use of the guests staying in these rooms, and there is a path leading down to the restaurant and reception area.

Double Bedrooms (2)

Extremely comfortable double rooms situated between the suites and the main building. Prettily furnished with cane and local stone, these rooms are smaller than the suites. A small terrace, air-conditioning and TV are included.

Restaurant

Situated by the reception with a vast terrace for al-fresco dining, the characterful restaurant serves a tasty continental breakfast to all the residents of the suites and rooms (included in the price). The local fayre for evening dining is also available to all residents and a daily menu will be displayed for guests (book and pay locally). An à la carte menu is also available along with a comprehensive wine list.

The location may not be right on the beach but is well placed for many of the famous stretches of coastline, plus many more of the lesser-known beaches and bays. Easy access to many local towns and villages.

The owner is understandably very proud of her Lu Ciaccaru and hopes you will enjoy it as much as she does. Good value in a beautiful and peaceful location.
