Trullo Giargia is a beautiful mix of classic Pugliese architecture, modernity and unusual artistic flair. Set in extensive grounds, this lovely villa is located in the glorious countryside near Cisternino.
Access to the property is along a private driveway and upon arrival you will see the inviting pool and covered gazebo to the right. Entry to the house is from a charming enclosed courtyard furnished for alfresco dining along with a super pizza oven and barbeque for some tasty grilled suppers.
There are two doors from the courtyard, one leading directly into a spacious double bedroom and the other into the original trullo. As you enter the trullo you will find a small living area which then opens in to a double bedroom under the original coned roof. From the double bedroom you access the bathroom with shower/bath tub and a corridor leads into a small living room.
From the trullo a door opens into the fabulous large open plan kitchen and living room. This is a super space and quite unusual for this type of holiday home as often kitchens are small. The window of the kitchen has a lovely view across the garden to the pool. The kitchen is very well equipped and should you wish to dine in the cool, there is a large wooden dining table. The open plan living area has a comfy sofa by the fireplace where you can happily escape the midday sun with a good book or keep the cook company with a glass of wine.
Leaving the sitting room, you will find a small entrance hall accessing the second bathroom. Should you require some shade, the owners have created a pretty, covered seating area only a few metres from the water with sofa, hammocks and table – the perfect place to while away a lazy summer day in the Pugliese sunshine.
Throughout the house the style is unique and quirky, reflecting the owners’ travels throughout the world and their artistic background. We are sure our discerning guests will appreciate this as it makes this house so much more than just a holiday villa. With most of the important towns of central Puglia within a short drive this is also a great location from where to explore. Cisternino is only 5 minutes away and the pretty towns of Ostuni, Martina Franca and Alberobello are all within easy reach. Trullo Giargia come highly recommended.
