The owners of Beach House Antonetta came across this beach front property and saw great potential. Their vision has produced a great sea-front home in an area of Puglia rarely visited by overseas holiday makers. Located only 15 kilometres from the stunning town of Lecce this is where the locals spend their holiday and enjoy the wonderful sandy beaches and calm Adriatic sea, ideal for families and couples.
This independent house is only metres from the sandy beach and, not only is there a public beach, but also a private beach (where you can rent loungers and umbrellas in the high season) right on your doorstep. The furnishings and design of the house reflects both the owners great style (a combination of Puglia and Morocco) and taste but also its beach location. White walls, bright linens, paintings and furniture mean that you know full well that the sea is lapping at your doorstep (you will also hear it is as you wake in the morning).
The villa is made up of a living room, a modern fully equipped stylish kitchen, one double bedroom, one twin / double bedroom, one internal bathroom with shower and one external shower. Outside there are two lovely outdoor dining areas, one on the ground floor and a roof terrace which is accessed by external steps and an ideal spot to enjoy the sea view and an evening in great company and with a fine bottle of local wine.
Within a short walk of Beach House Antonetta there are bars, restaurants and shops. Whilst not a built up beach resort Torre Chianca has good facilities and is understated. Out of the high season Torre Chianca becomes a quiet backwater and is ideal for those people seeking a peaceful retreat. Your days will be spent between the villa and the beach and of course a day in the Baroque wonder that is Lecce. Further afield you can explore the Val DItria with its famous trulli and the seaside town of Otranto. The Salento region of Puglia offers crystal waters and quiet villages to explore. The owners of Villa Antonetta have a background in interior design (their work having being published in AD, Elle Dor and The World of Interiors) and the fruits of the labours here are on display for you to enjoy.

Gorgeous house with lots of stylish touches. You are literally right on the beach which feels totally private and a great place to get away from it all, switch off and unwind. You can walk to a couple of local places to eat or drive 15-25 mins to lots of other cute local places. Had some lovely evenings cooking meals in and watching the sunset from the roof and the moon from the beach. September 2020

We have loved the tranquility, to sit and watch the sun go down on the roof top, to go to sleep with the sound of the sea. The beaches of endless golden sand, with the bluest crystal clear warm water to swim in. The enlivening swim before breakfast, and again before supper. To have beaches to ourselves when the wind is blowing and the waves crashing, but have the privilege of walking 50 yards back to the house when the sea is calm and we are sharing the beach with the Italians who come to enjoy the Lido beach life. At lunch time we walked along the beach to Kalu Lido (Luka’s bar) for yummy sandwiches, coffees and Nastro’s and the friendliest of welcomes. The house is an oasis, the simple white decor and cool shade of the garden, melt away the stress of everyday life. The lovely touches of Nicholas and Liza’s art and decor make every quiet moment a treat to look and see more and more details of things they have collected and displayed. There isn’t a corner of the house interior or garden that has been forgotten.
