Casale San Nicola is an elegant 17 century villa built on site which dates back to Medici times. With beautiful mature gardens the villa is set in tranquil countryside just 40 minutes from the centre of Rome.
The mature gardens, which were designed by Russel Page, are home to a large heated pool, family chapel, tennis court, a stunning rose garden and a fragrant herb garden which you are welcome to harvest for use in your cooking.
The villa is on three levels with the main entrance on the upper ground floor via an external stone staircase.
Entry is into a large welcoming hallway which leads to a spacious sitting room with high vaulted, wooden ceilings, an extensive library and a large dining room. On this floor there is also a master bedroom with dressing room with ensuite bathroom along with a second double bedroom and bathroom. This bathroom is shared with a single bedroom. There is a further single room and shower room. On this level there is also a small wash room with toilet.
On the lower level facing the gardens there is another double bedroom with ensuite along with two single bedrooms which again share a bathroom. On this floor you will also find a super kitchen which is equipped with a large oven, burners, a large fridge and ample storage space and a laundry room.
At the upper level there is a double bedroom with dressing room and ensuite.
In the grounds you will find a family chapel, a lovely garden room with a large dining area and doors which open wide onto the mature gardens. This room can also be accessed from the sitting room via some internal steps. Centre stage the large pool and tennis court.
