Description

Villa Valentino stands in a magnificent, commanding location on top of a hill, with fabulous views over the valley and the famous town of Todi. Wide open views of the Umbrian countryside that can be enjoyed from the property.

This family villa is peaceful, private and a stroll away from the hillside hamlet of Morre, where a bar and a grocery can be found, and Acqualoreto where there is one of the most characteristic restaurants of the area, Osteria La Cruccola, where home-made pasta and the best traditional recipes of the region are prepared daily. Both villages are 15/20 minutes a walk away from the villa, less than 5 minutes by car. Villa Valentino is situated just 20 minutes driving distance from Todi, one of Umbria’s most beautiful hill towns.

Villa Valentino has been recently rebuilt, maintaining the traditional style with the addition of all modern comforts. The villa is wonderfully spacious inside and out, with a beautiful blend of old and new. The villa is on 2 levels and can comfortably accommodate 6 people. It is a perfect base for a family or friends holidaying together.

The ground floor features a spacious living area divided by a stone arch and with a fireplace. Connected to the living room there is an elegant dining room which leads to a fully fitted kitchen – 6 burner gas cooktop, large refrigerator, freezer, 2 ovens, 2 sinks, coffee maker, toaster and dishwasher. The ground floor has large French windows which ensure that the view is never far away.

The sleeping area of the ground level is composed by 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (showers) and dressing rooms; the bedrooms open on to a pergola that is on the upper level of the garden. A laundry room with washing and drying machine completes the floor.

On the first floor, there is the independent master suite consisting of a large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom featuring a stylish free-standing bath. The master suite is completed by a dressing room and a spacious terrace that offers total privacy and the best view of the entire villa.

There are mosquito screens in the windows. The villa has underfloor heating for comfort even in the colder periods.

The large and well-kept garden surrounds the villa including a pool, a small vineyard and olive grove. The gorgeous swimming pool is sunk into sunbathing lawns, nestling amongst olive trees, roses and lavender bushes. The pool area offers open views and total privacy.

A furnished pergola is ideal for alfresco dining and to enjoy the view of Todi, relaxing in front of the pool. The main pergola features a large table complete with chairs, armchairs, a sink and a barbecue. Cook service on request. There is a second pergola on the other side of the building.

On request, guests can taste the delicious honey that the owner of the villa gets by bees, whose hives are located at the edge of the estate (well away from the house), or take part in the grape harvest of the vineyard and toast with the new wine that is obtained from grapes.

Villa Valentino is ideally located for exploring the beautiful Umbrian countryside and popping into the many hilltop towns which litter the landscape: Todi, Montefalco, Deruta, Bevanga and Assisi being just a few. We are sure this beautiful villa will be a real hit with everyone looking for comfort, beauty and the ‘bella vita’.

What our guests say

N WIllimas, Buckinghamshire, UK

Absolutely fantastic! We would highly recommend both Villa Valentino and Essential Italy. We had a wonderful time and wouldn't hesitate to use again. Thank you. X August 2022

As usual, you were very helpful in arranging our villa holiday. Thank you for the restaurant recommendation for the drive to the villa - we had a lovely meal. The villa was excellent - in terms of size, comfort and facilities. Our family was particularly impressed with the outside space - useful shade ,relaxation and dining area next to the pool. The local villa management company was excellent too: very friendly and promptly sorted out a few problems we had. June 2022

Perhaps the best view in 20 years of travelling to Italy. And a wonderful pool. Gardens were excellent. Bravo, Guido. Desperately needed a guide to the butterflies of Umbria. Saw countless varieties. Incredible. Negatives: The lighting on the ground floor is troublesome and temperamental. There is not enough light in the TV area and with a loose connection it was difficult to fault check. A downstairs common toilet would be handy. But seeing fireflies for the first time was a real treat. Stars at night were sensational. So glad we chose Umbria again! - July 2019
