Casa Tosca is situated just 500 metres - down a steep road - from the charming hill top town of Montaione. However despite being so close to the village it enjoys considerable privacy and has a real country house feel. The views from the house and pool are second-to-none. This old hayloft has been restored to a high standard and provides spacious living both inside and out.

The first thing you will notice is the fantastic pool and the views. Not only is there a large pool for adults (7 x 14m 1.4m deep) but also a small paddling pool (2 x 2m 60cm deep) for the smaller members of your party. Many afternoons will be spent either on the pool terrace or under the gazebo, complete with barbeque, taking in the fabulous views across the Val D’Elsa.

Access to the house is either by the ground floor or external steps to the first floor. On the ground floor is a large conservatory which leads to the well equipped kitchen (oven, dishwasher, hobs) and open plan dining room. Spiral stairs lead up to the first floor where there are four comfortable bedrooms - two doubles, one double/twin and a single (an extra bed can be added to this room for a child). There are also two bathrooms with showers. There is a further bathroom with access from outside with washing machine.

The outdoor spaces turn this already lovely house into a really special holiday home. There are several good restaurants in the village of Montaione and with San Gimignano, Volterra, Certaldo just on your doorstep and Pisa, Siena and Florence within easy striking distance, you will certainly not be short of things to see and do. We advise early booking.

We had the most excellent time! The villa, the location, the pool and the village were stunning as was the weather! Just wish we could have had a month... oh well wishful thinking!! Many thanks we will always remember this holiday, and thanks to you and Helen for helping to make up our minds to take this place – it was brilliant!!
