Set in a beautiful elevated location with stunning views across olive groves and woods, Villa Callisto is a fantastic holiday home designed with style and flair whilst maintaining the original features of a former country house with a trullo. Just a 10-minute drive to the fabulous town hilltop town of Ceglie Messipica, bursting with fabulous restaurants, shops and summer fiestas.
The private grounds and gardens are filled with olives, figs and almonds and have been carefully landscaped with plenty of seating areas, both sunny and shady, from where you may enjoy the panorama. The fantastic pool (1.5m deep) occupies a terrace in front of the villa and the two covered dining areas are the perfect place for long leisurely lunches. The villa lends itself to summer living with gas and wood BBQ’s, outdoor sink and pizza oven.
The well-equipped kitchen has floor to ceiling glass doors looking out to the gardens. Leading off the kitchen is a cosy sitting room with big wood-burning stove (great for the cooler months) and comfy seating. A second lounge again with glass doors opens out on to the terrace and is the ideal place to escape the midday temperatures, relaxing on the sofas with a book or perhaps a glass of wine.
The very comfortable bedrooms in the villa (2 king and 1 twin) have been simply furnished in the Pugliese style, all have their own en-suite shower rooms. The fourth bedroom (double) is in the original Trullo, adjoining the house, giving it lots of character under the cooling typical coned roof – this also has an en-suite shower room.
Hugely popular with guests for family groups and friends wanting to relax and explore this beautiful area of Italy.

The villa was super, clean and well stocked with all sorts of things to make our holiday run smoothly. The Trullo was quirky and a great place to stay, the rest of the villa accommodation was also good, no problems at all with anything. The surrounding olive orchards made a great setting, and being able to pick fresh figs and pomegranates for our breakfast every morning was the icing on the cake. September 2022

The house was charming. Simple but very tastefully done, the outside area was exceptional with a lovely pool. We could not fault anything.
