We are thrilled to offer this unique experience in the heart of fabulous Alberobello – home to hundreds of trulli and a World Heritage Site. These small coned roofed dwellings were originally built to house local families, and the more cones added, the wealthier the family. Now you can wander the narrow (and traffic-free) streets to admire the cute dwellings, enjoy some great food, visit some of the numerous local shops and take as many photos as you wish – it has to be one of the most photogenic towns in all of Italy!
The Trulli Hotel has 20 rooms but not built in the conventional style due to the layout of the town – each room has its own cone, sometimes 2 or even 3 depending on the number of bedrooms, along with one or two shower rooms and a small kitchen area, perfect for light meals and drinks. The charming decor with white walls and pretty furnishings makes the trulli most comfortable and you may find your front door opens on to a geranium-filled path, or if on an upper level, between a myriad of cones and the bright blue sky.
All the rooms are close to each other and there is a great reception ready to help you whenever you need some assistance with where to go, what to do, bike hire and a wealth of local information. Also attached to the hotel is the most delightful little restaurant with its’ very own allotment full of seasonal vegetables and fruits. Once you have eaten here once you will be hooked, not only with the delicious Pugliese fare, locally baked bread and wonderful home-produced wine but with the excellent and welcoming service. Breakfast, lunch and dinner may all be eaten here and of course it is open for coffees and aperitivi during the day should you need to top up – we can strongly recommend the ricotta and chocolate cake!
With the super location and warm welcome, we know you will enjoy your stay, long or short, at Trulli Hotel.
