Hotel Club Daniela Otranto

Set on a super stretch of coastline, the Club Hotel Daniela offers a fantastic location for the perfect family beach holiday. Situated just 10 kms from the bustling historic town of Otranto, the contemporary hotel has everything you need to ensure a great stay. Completely refurbished in 2010, the stylish modern design gives it a very upbeat feel – creamy coloured local stone has been used throughout with careful lighting and contemporary furnishings making it a real find in the south of this beautiful region.

The large and airy reception welcomes you on arrival and the bedrooms are in two rows – one overlooking the pool area and the other looking out onto gardens and the neighbouring apartments. The rooms are all the same in their decor – once again the minimal look proves how stylish it can be with beige and white being the main shades. All the rooms have air conditioning, telephone, furnished terrace or balcony and en-suite shower rooms.

The public areas of the hotel are spacious and beautifully maintained – a large TV room is a great place to watch a football match in the company of many Italians, plus a billiard room with 3 tables guaranteed to provide some lively competition and of course, the national institution of table football – not to be missed! The two pools are positioned between the hotel and the pine woods that lead to the coastline and have plenty of sunbathing space around both with a bar that is open daily serving snacks and refreshing drinks.

Club Hotel Daniela has two restaurants which are both buffet style offering a great choice of antipasti, primi, secondi and wonderful dolci. Adults and children will have fun picking and choosing their menu each day enjoying the super choice of local dishes and fresh vegetables and fruit.

The nearest beach is just a couple of hundred metres away and is located down a series of steep steps – the hotel beach is approximately 1km along the glorious coast. To reach this super sandy location, Club Hotel Daniela provides a small train service that leaves regularly from the shade of the pine wood - the perfect way to travel and your children will love it! The hotel beach is equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas and there is a beach bar ready to serve you all your needs during a day by the sea. In the evening the bar sometimes arranges tasty grilled fish suppers – these can be booked in the hotel and are not to be missed as there is something wonderful about eating by the sea under the stars with some very drinkable local wine (then having a train take you home again!!).

We are thrilled to have found this hotel and consider it to be excellent value for money.
