Although we are sure you will be tempted to stay put and enjoy your immediate surroundings we highly recommend that you explore this fascinating region. Abruzzo offers some wonderful day trips, towns and villages in the region all retain their original, authentic character, charm and traditions. The scenery is stunning and the high mountains provide perfect hiking terrain. Within a 10 minute drive lies the small town of Casoli where there are numerous restaurants offering local, traditional cuisine at amazingly low prices. Abruzzo also produces some very fine wines and olive oil.
We are convinced that those of you looking for untouched Italy (as it was 30 years ago) will find a little piece of paradise here at Casa Acquaviva. The English owners live in the house behind, and are on hand to make recommendations using their local knowledge to make sure your holiday runs perfectly.
