Villa Le Volpaie is a charming country retreat, the well tended gardens and pool will make it hard to leave. Reached along a steep, access ‘track’, the house is surrounded by woodland and offers considerable privacy – though still close to the beautiful town of Cortona.

This large stone house has been restored to a high level of comfort. Entry is into a reception area, to your left there is a living room with fireplace, to your right there is a dining room, fully fitted kitchen (oven, fridge, dishwasher and hobs). There is also a double/twin bedroom and bathroom (bath and shower) on the ground floor with patio doors to the garden.

All the paperwork you provided prior to us arriving was informative and amusing, and we took your advice on a number of restaurants, in particular Il Falconiere for our last night, which was very special. Please keep in touch... thank you again to yourself and Ian.’

Open stone stairs lead up to the first floor where there is a further double bedroom, twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The first floor can also be reached by external steps which lead into the landing area.

Villa Le Volpaie offers a great Tuscan experience, a building in keeping with tradition and yet with modern comfort and personal touches. The pool area is lovely and the garden will encourage you to dine al fresco every evening (despite the wide range of restaurants in Cortona and the surrounding villages).
