This two storey house is built into the rocks and is in many ways the ideal Mediterranean holiday home: spectacular views, the sea lapping on your own beach, lovely stylish interiors and sun-kissed terraces. The owner has used great imagination and considerable skill to craft Villa Kalura out of the rocks, which make up her garden. Access to the house is via a private entrance (shared with the owners of the next door house, Villa Charamonti). A series of steps lead you onto the lovely top-level terrace. Immediately the atmosphere is relaxing and the view will draw you in.

On the top level of the house there are the two bedrooms, one double and one twin. Both have French windows leading directly onto the terrace and both bedrooms enjoy the sea view. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans. Also on the top floor there is the bathroom with shower which has been carved out of the rock.

A second flight of external steps lead to the lower level where there is an open plan living room / kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with oven, hobs and fridge / freezer. The living room is comfortably furnished with sofas and has a large panoramic window so you just can’t escape that view. Again the central feature is the spacious patio and we are sure that this will become your living room. There is also an external shower which is useful when coming back home from the beach. Both terraces are equipped with tables and chairs.

From here a series of rock steps lead down to the private beach which is shared with Villa Chiaramonti. There are lovely rock formations and the crystal clear water is ideal for swimming. The beach itself is mostly pebbles.

Villa Kalura is located in an exclusive area of Cefalu and the town is a short drive away (1 km). There is a restaurant within walking distance, approximately 500m. The town offers lively nightlife and offers many bars and restaurants as well as a sandy beach. However with your own beach below your house we are not sure you will venture very far.

Cefalu has a charming old town centre and day trips could include Palermo (50kms) and the nature park of the Madonie Mountains, which provides full immersion in the beautiful Sicilian countryside.
