Villa Anna is a real treasure – the perfect holiday house. Just a few metres from the little-known, beautiful village of Citerna, it boasts amazing views and a wonderful pool. In Citerna there are two restaurants, small grocers, post office (and hairdresser!).

Upon arrival the first thing you will notice is the magnificent pool in front of the house. Having taken-in the pool, turn around and the view before you is staggering. There is private parking and a garage. A flight of steps leads you to the front door. Enter the house and the large kitchen is on your right – fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, hobs, microwave, fridge, freezer and fireplace. There are French windows out onto the terrace. Opposite the kitchen there is the first of the double bedrooms and bathroom (with bath). The huge living/dining room is fabulous and has large windows from where to enjoy that view. Doors lead onto the large terrace where you can dine with the wonderful view as your backdrop.

The main double bedroom is large and next to the main bathroom (newly installed with a lovely large modern shower). There is a twin / double bedroom at the back of the house with views across the valley. There is also a double bedroom to the rear of the house with bathroom with shower.

On the first floor there is a large fifth bedroom which has three single beds and would be ideal for children (in the really hot months this room is warm as it is immediately under the roof).

Despite being in the village, Villa Anna feels very private, the gardens envelop the house, with olive trees to the rear and terraced gardens. There is a pizza oven and barbeque, and it is possible to organise pizza lessons and have meals cooked for you at the house by Maria, the housekeeper. From the garden gate you can walk along marked pathways to Monterchi, Anghiari and beyond.

Truly stunning views as well as feeling private. Immaculate, nice added touches such as fruit and welcome wine. Better than other villas we have booked through other companies which were more expensive but of a lesser quality. Exceptional attention. Particularly impressed with Ian, who not only phoned us upon arrival and directed us to the villa, but also arranged extra accommodation for two further members of our party.
