The location of Rugapiana Bed and Breakfast is ideal for those seeking to live the La Bella Vita. Cortona retains much of its old medieval charm and is well prepared for the visitor. A host of shops and restaurants are on your doorstep.

This recently restored palazzo contains 3 double bedrooms and 3 apartments. The furnishings are in keeping with Tuscan tradition and all rooms and apartments are very comfortable.

Double Bedrooms

Each room has en-suite shower room and spacious bedroom. In addition there is a fridge, coffee and tea making facilities, satellite TV.

One bedroom Apartments

All apartments have a double bedroom, kitchen/living room, shower room, satellite TV and washing machine.

Two bedroom Apartments

It is possible to link a double bedroom with an apartment to create a very comfortable two bedroom apartment. An ideal solution for two couples travelling together or a family – it is possible to add a single bed.

All guests are offered breakfast at the wonderful bar opposite your front door. This bar is well know locally for its pastries and we are sure that a brioche and cappuccino here will set you up for the day.

The quality of the accommodation and location makes Rugapiana a wonderful place to stay and ensures that you will get the best out of Cortona and the villages beyond. Just 100m away there is the bus service which takes you down to the station and from here Arezzo, Siena, Perugia and many other towns can be reached for day trips. However, upon your return we are sure that Cortona and Rugapiana will feel like ‘home-from-home’. You will find yourselves mingling with the locals and taking life at their pace.

Massimo (owner of Rugapiana) was very helpful and organised, really hospitable even to the point of giving me an Easter gift on leaving!! Really central to Cortona and its facilities. Close to other places of interest of course too. As always! Ian of course as efficient as ever, giving additional recommendations to superb restaurant.
