Positioned in the hills outside Cortona this 2 bedroom fully independent apartment has much to offer. The owners have sympathetically restored this house – they live in the house behind Casa Lorenzo and we are sure guests will thoroughly enjoy any contact with them.

Accessed by a short country track Casa Lorenzo is set apart from the owners’ house, which is behind and has a separate entrance. There is parking in front of the house and steps lead you up to the entrance. There is a large living room / kitchen with a sofa and dining table, along with an open fireplace. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, gas hobs, dishwasher and fridge / freezer. The two bedrooms are beyond the kitchen and there is one double with wardrobe and drawers and one double / twin with drawers. Between the bedrooms there is a bathroom with shower.

The garden – equipped with table and chairs – has views across the pool to the valley beyond. Between the house and the pool is a well kept garden complete with barbeque. The superb pool is shared with the owners who have two children aged 16 and 5. Beneath the house is another bathroom with shower and there is a washing machine for guests use.

The location of Casa Lorenzo is wonderful – immersed in the countryside yet only a short trip to Cortona, there are even two restaurants, two bars and a supermarket within 2kms of the house. It is possible to organise meals prepared for you and also babysitting. For days out there is plenty to visit – Cortona, Montepulciano, Perugia, Siena and Arezzo could keep you busy for a month, though the temptation may be to stay put and enjoy Casa Lorenzo.

I would have had reservations about staying so close to a family. This proved to be special this time. The visit from Ian was really nice as was the wine! As a result of that your website will be the first port of call for our next visit to Italy.
