This wonderful property, with medieval origins, sits on a hill in the middle of 70 hectares of land. Surrounded by an abundance of olive groves and vineyards stunning views stretch across the countryside in all directions and the famous wine has been produced ever since the Medici family was in residence here.

The Borgo was the original village that housed the artisans and the people that worked the land on this extensive estate and has now been transformed into super apartments that have all been thoughtfully restored and elegantly furnished. Much of the original outside has been retained such as the cobbled streets, the old clock tower and the impressive wall surrounding and protecting the Borgo.

The spacious apartments are all different in size and layout, are prettily furnished in a light and airy Tuscan style with a choice of one or two bedrooms sleeping up to 6 guests:

One bedroom apartments – these are home to a large open plan dining/living room including a double sofa bed with a kitchenette (2 ring hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge), a double bedroom and separate shower room.

Two bedroom apartments – home to 2 bedrooms (that may be made up as twins or doubles), 2 shower rooms, open plan dining/living room with double sofa bed and kitchenette (2 ring hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge). All these apartments have either a shared furnished terrace or garden area.

The beautifully kept communal outside area has been well designed and has plenty of space for enjoying the sunshine, exploring this fascinating Borgo, simply admiring the superb panorama or taking a dip in the tempting swimming pool to cool down.

All guests staying at the Artimino apartments are welcome to use the facilities at the neighbouring Hotel Paggeria Medicea including a great infinity swimming pool, tennis court, the hire of mountain bikes and WI-FI. All these services are complimentary. Breakfast may also be taken in the hotel if booked in advance – a great way to start the day.

I wanted you to know that we had a fabulous time in Italy. Everything was indescribably perfect. It was so hard to go home to England and the dreary weather and its not much better here.
