This pretty trullo with its wonderful cones and thick stone walls is a perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Situated at the end of a lane, the wonderful rural location ensures that you are surrounded by rolling countryside with views across to the town of Locorotondo where you will find a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes.

The restoration work at Trullo Cattivodda has been overseen by the owner who happens to be a local architect – he has cleverly mixed the old with the new and the contrast between the age old walls and the contemporary furnishings makes it even more appealing.

A lounge with comfy sofas, television and DVD player maybe considered as the centre of the trullo – there are 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin that lead off the lounge with the bonus of both having en-suite shower rooms. The kitchen is under another coned roof and is accessed externally – there is a dining table and chairs for rare indoors eating and a gas hob, full size oven and fridge/freezer.

Surrounded by local paving stones in a walled garden, the private pool is probably where most guests will spend the best part of their time. A covered dining area will no doubt be the home to many a lingering lunch or a late dinner and there are wooden loungers for the sun worshippers amongst you. A barbeque completes the setting for some tasty grilled fish or chops washed down with a couple of glasses of Primitivo.

Trullo Cattivodda is a late addition for Essential Italy but we are confident that we will have some very happy holiday makers here as it such excellent value for money.
