This delightful converted farm house makes for a most enjoyable stay in Sardinia. Situated in the middle of the beautiful ‘Gallurese’ countryside amidst the time-weathered rocks, Tenuta Pilastru is both stylish and comfortable in a real oasis of peace and tranquillity. The fact that it is approximately a 10 minute drive to the nearest beach does not, in any way, spoil its great location and the superb fresh water swimming pool set below stunning granite rock formations (with their own grottoes) provides a refreshing dip if needed. Sunbeds are dotted around the pool area so relaxing with a chilled glass of wine and a good book are great options should you not want to join the jet set on the Costa Smeralda!

As you enter the property you will find reception in one of the converted farm buildings and the various rooms are situated in the surrounding countryside in three groups. Old olive and oak trees break up the beautiful views and lawns surround the hotel.

All the 32 rooms are charmingly furnished to a very high standard with local and natural materials and are equipped with air conditioning/heating, terrace or patio, minibar, satellite TV, telephone, bathrooms (some with shower and some with bath) and hairdrier. There area also 3 suites which comprise of a small kitchen and dining area plus a separate bedroom – ideal for families as there are sofa beds in the lounge plus space for an extra bed in the bedroom.

The separate restaurant, surrounded by the fantastic granite rock formations, offers a great selection of local dishes and delicacies. You may choose from the hotel menu which offers three of four antipasti, first and second courses and should you wish to experience a true Sardinian meal, then for a small supplement you can savour various hand made pastas and suckling pig roasted on the spit.

This gem of a hotel has a very warm and welcoming feel to it and we can highly recommend it for both short and longer breaks.
