Villa Scozilia is located on the slopes of Mount Etna and enjoys fabulous views across the countryside to the coastline and Taormina. Set in immaculate gardens, it is a joy to wander the grounds and enjoy the wonderful pool and tennis court. The nearby village of Presa can be reached by foot and has a small grocer store and pizzeria (many guests never get any further, Villa Scozilia is a little corner of paradise). Compared with touristy Taormina and Giardini Naxos, the small villages of the slopes of Etna have a real feel of Sicily.

The villa is divided into two buildings, in the cottage there is one double bedroom, bathroom and kitchen area. This would be ideal for Grandparents or couples wishing greater privacy. The main house is on two levels, each accessed from terraces. One the upper level there are is one double bedroom and one twin/double with a bathroom. A large living/dining room and kitchen complete the upper floor. Below there is a further double bedroom and small kitchen area. In all the accommodations there is the possibility to add further beds – reaching a maximum occupancy of 10.

Within the grounds there is also a superb tennis court for the guests use (cement surface), rackets and balls available.

If you do decide to venture out, there is plenty to see and do. Drive to the top of Mount Etna and explore this amazing volcano. Drop down to the coastline and have a day on the beach, nip into Taormina and marvel at the Greek amphitheatre. However we believe that Casa Scozilia is so comfortable and the grounds so inviting that most of your time will be spent at ‘home’ with a good book and a bottle of wine.

The charming owner meets you upon arrival and she has a house in the grounds, she stays during the weekend and lives and works in Taormina during the week.

Villa Scozilia would be an ideal location for a large family of two families wishing to travel together and yet maintain a certain level of privacy. Highly recommended.

Scozilia is very beautiful. The gardens are very attractive and well cared for while the setting of the pool is idyllic. Casa Camelia has a lovely terrace.
