Relais Parco Cavalonga Ragusa

Relais Parco Cavalonga is set in wonderful Sicilian countryside on the side of a hill all on its own – a great haven of peace and tranquillity but with a huge selection of towns and cultural sites to visit within easy reach to say nothing of the beautiful coastline. Olive and carob trees line the dry stone walls that mark the boundaries with the surrounding national parkland making it a real little oasis.

Beautifully tucked away, the renovated farm buildings have been transformed into super accommodation – the choice is yours between self catering apartments or stylish rooms.

As you enter the Relais you arrive firstly at the 7 apartments – these are all carefully designed with private terraces and valley views. The rich vegetation has been untouched wherever possible ensuring as much natural greenery around the buildings as possible. Located in original rural buildings, the renovation work has made these apartments very comfortable with a real contemporary twist to them. There is choice between two and three bedroom apartments, all bedrooms with their own shower room and each one has a kitchenette complete with washing machine, dishwasher, hob and fridge/freezer plus satellite TV and air conditioning. The furnished terraces are fabulous overlooking the well-kept gardens and guests here have the use of one of the infinity pools set a little further down the hill.

Following the private road down the hill you will come to a second building which is home to the 15 rooms, reception, breakfast room and courtyard. With a designer feel to them, the rooms have been simply but stylishly furnished and are found on two floors. The Superior and Deluxe rooms have twin/double beds and the Garden deluxe rooms have twin/double beds plus their own private garden or courtyard. All rooms are attractively furnished with en-suite shower rooms, air conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar and safe box. Breakfast for the hotel guests is served in the chic breakfast room or out in the sunny courtyard – the perfect place to start the day.

Continuing down the hill you come to two splendid pools – one for the use of the guests in the apartments and one for the hotel guests ensuring that they never get too full. Both beautifully laid out amidst green lawns and local scented bushes, this is a haven of peace should you wish for a day of reading your book and doing some gentle exercise.

The restaurant “I paladini” is open for all guests and serves a wonderful choice of traditional Sicilian cuisine using fresh produce from the neighbouring fields.

With such famous towns as Ragusa, Modica, Noto and Siracusa, to name but a few, in easy reach plus the super coast line just a short drive away, Relais Parco Cavalonga promises to be a great hit with our travellers.
