In a spectacular position, Torretta is one of the original villas of Porto Rafael and so named after its unique round shape. With a huge and beautiful terrace overlooking the bay of Palau and across to the Archipelago of La Maddalena, it would be tempting not to set foot outside this idyllic setting and relish the ever-changing sea views whilst sipping a glass (or two!) of local wine.

Should supplies run low it is comforting to know that a small supermarket is only 3 minutes away on foot, as is the bar down on the square by the beach - a fantastic place to enjoy an early morning cappuccino with fresh cakes, a light lunch or just while away a couple of hours with your book and a beer.

If you are able to tear yourselves away from all of this, Palau is a 10 minute drive away with many more shops, bars and restaurants for you to enjoy.

The villa has been recently up-dated and on ground level has a comfortable sitting/dining room opening out onto the wonderful, large terrace, a twin bedroom and cloakroom with basin and WC (an interesting feature is the outside shower hidden in the rocks that leads out from this cloakroom – may be chilly in low season) and a small separate kitchen with gas hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The superb terrace overlooking the wonderfully vibrant blue sea has a huge amount of space for sunbathing and a great covered area for dining at all times of the day.

With an independent entrance from the terrace, there is a compact single bedroom and shower room – great for a member of the party who wishes for a little more privacy.

The staircase from the lounge area leads to the double bedroom and en-suite bathroom – the views from the bed are as good, if not better, than those from the terrace! The balcony extends round much of the villa.

We highly recommend this villa for its position, charm and special terrace.

A wonderful property with perfect location, we have already reserved for next year.
