Cala Luna Cala Gonone

Completely refurbished in 2005, this gem of a family run hotel is a real find and a must if you are touring the area – great for short and long stays alike. Unlike many hotels in the area, Cala Luna has chosen contemporary furnishings, clean lines and some wonderful modern art making it a pleasure to stay in.

Sitting in the heart of the village on the road that overlooks the fantastic Cala Gonone coast line with its famous caves and grottoes, the hotel offers a chic indoor bar and restaurant. Should you prefer to dine al-fresco then you will find a a great shady area just outside the main doors and on the seafront where you may while away the hours with a bottle of Vermentino, a plate of grilled seafood and the view stretching out on either side of you.

The 27 standard rooms continue the same chic and modern theme that you find througout the hotel. Prices vary only according to the view and number of beds, and all rooms are comfortably equipped with air conditioning, safe, minibar, internet access, TV and hairdrier. The seafront and side rooms have balconies affording fantastic views across the open sea and along the pretty coast making it a pleasure to get out of bed in the morning.

Beaches, boat trips to the stunning grottoes and spectacular wine-growing countryside to explore makes this one of the destinations that you should put on to your wish list – we can guarantee that you will enjoy the experience! One word of warning however, Cala Gonone gets very busy with the Italian holidaymakers from mid July to the end of August so to get the best from the area, we suggest that travel out of these dates.
