Baia delle Palme Santa Margherita di Pula

Baia delle Palme is just as its name implies, a bay full of palm trees. This tasteful residence sits in fantastic gardens dotted with impressive palm trees and many other indigenous plants which make for a totally relaxing and peaceful setting. The sea may be accessed by means of a path through the trees making the 900 metre walk a pleasure in the knowledge that you can throw yourself in the wonderful clear blue water and lounge on the fine white sand from sunrise to sunset.

Naturally, you may prefer the generous sized, refreshing swimming pool set in the gardens at the front of the residence – plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas are there for your comfort along with a bar serving drinks and snack to keep you topped up. A small whirlpool is incorporated into the larger pool – great for destressing.

The simple apartments are furnished in local style - The studios comprise of one large room with double sofa bed plus shower room, the one bedroom apartments have a separate double bedroom lounge area with double sofa bed and shower room and the two bedroom apartments are the same as the one bedroom ones with the addition of a second twin bedroom. All the studios and apartments have access to either a balcony or a patio, have telephones and satellite TV and are home to a small kitchenette (2 or 4 gas rings and fridge) so that you can prepare simple meals during your stay - being Italy, there is of course, a great selction of restaurants to choose from within easy driving distance should you wish to dine out every so often.

Baia delle Palme is the ideal spot for those of you looking for a peaceful holiday – there is no entertainment and you are superbly located in the middle of a stretch of coastline that has not been spoilt in any way by concrete! The nearest bustling little town is Pula – a 10 minute drive away where you will find a selection of supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants (and of course a great beach).

To the east, you may visit the busy capital city of the island – Cagliari and to the west you may take the scenic route along the coast to the islands of Sant Antioco and San Pietro.

You may however just find that you are happy being a beach bum and enjoying the sun, sand, pool, a glass of chilled Vermentino and your book!
