San Lorenzo della Rabatta is an ancient hamlet, situated in the hills to the north west of Perugia. The hamlet has been restored to provide 8 lovely apartments. The wonderful location is ideal for visiting the many charming villages and towns of Umbria and beyond. Immersed in the Umbrian countryside, San Lorenzo is an ideal holiday location for those looking for a country dwelling within reach of the cultural treasures of Umbria and Tuscany.

The apartments have been restored in keeping with the local traditions and using local artisans.

Apartment 1 sleeps 8

Access is by 8 external steps and into a large living room with open fireplace. Beyond this lovely living room there is a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, hobs and fridge freezer. On the first floor there are the bedrooms: two doubles and two twin rooms. There are three bathrooms, one with a bath, one with shower and one with just toilet and wash basin. At the foot of the external steps there is a table and chairs for outside dining.

Apartment 2 sleeps 6

Entry is into a large open plan kitchen/living room. The kitchen has dishwasher, oven, hobs and fridge freezer. There are two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. Two bathrooms, both with showers. In front of the house there are table and chairs for outdoor dining. This apartment has a wonderful rustic feel with many of the walls with exposed stonework.

Apartment 3 sleeps 4 – first floor

Entry is into a large living room with open fireplace and open plan kitchen equipped with hobs, oven and fridge freezer. There is one double bedroom and one twin/double. One bathroom with shower.

Living room/kitchen equipped with hobs, oven and fridge freezer. One double bedroom and one twin/double. One bathroom with shower and bath. Two bathrooms, one with shower and the other with toilet and wash basin.

Apartment 5 sleeps 2

Entry is into a living room. There is a simple kitchen with hobs and fridge freezer. Open spiral stairs lead to the first floor where there is a bathroom with shower and lovely double bedroom.

Apartment 6 sleeps 2

Entry is into a ground floor living room with open fireplace. Stairs lead up to a second living room and open plan simple kitchen, with 2 hobs and fridge freezer. Beyond the living room there is an open plan double bedroom. The bathroom has a small shower. This apartment has considerable privacy and lovely views. There are table and chairs for outside dining.

Apartment 7 sleeps two

The fabulous apartment is the most recently restored and combines the modern and ancient in a stylish manner. Entry is via the outdoor dining area and into a small reception area. The open plan living room/kitchen oozes style and the double bed is behind a partition. There is a lovely bathroom with large shower. Our favourite apartment.

Apartment 8 sleeps 2

An open plan apartment with living room, kitchen and double bedroom in one large space. Simple and yet functional. The kitchen has two electric hobs and fridge.

The huge pool is located about 20 metres from the main house and enjoys fabulous views across the Umbrian countryside. It is the perfect place to unwind and for children to recover after an intense morning visiting churches and looking at frescos! There is a communal outdoor dining area, ideal for barbeques.
