This charming hotel, perched on the hillside, is the perfect destination for a breathtaking stay in unique surroundings. Amazing seaviews make this an unforgettable destination and the fantastic views across the sparkling sea make for a really special stay. The small port of Arbatax offers a taste of the real Sardinia – watch the fishing boats unload their catches in the early morning onto the harbour side or just enjoy observing the locals getting on with their day in one of the unpretentious bars by the sea. 

A couple of hairpin bends lead up to the entrance of this pretty hotel and as soon as you enter you know that you have made a great choice. The welcoming staff are attentive and eager to ensure that you have the best stay possible at Monteturri. Beautifully polished tiled floors, simple furnishings and rustic furniture all add to the charm – before you reach your room, just venture out on the terrace by reception to realise that this really is a little piece of paradise.

The bar and lounge area open onto the delightful, partly covered pool which has been carefully designed to get the best of the sunshine but to be out of the wind. A great sheltered solarium is furnished with sunbeds and umbrellas along with a small sauna.

The 42 room are set on the hillside are are to found on many different levels.  Every room is different in shape and size and there are two categories: Classic (Giardino) and Superior (Torre) rooms. The superior rooms, recently rennovated, are situated in the main building high up on the hill with views of the sea whilst the classic rooms are further down the hill situated in stone houses opening onto the garden area. Corridors, passages and pathways are in abundance giving you the feeling of being in a big private villa as opposed to a hotel. All rooms have been thoughtfully furnished and though the garden rooms are slightly more dated, they are in no way, inferior. Satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, mini bar and safe are standard items in all rooms and the classic rooms have ensuite showerrooms whilst the superior rooms have ensuite bathrooms. Many of the rooms have either one or two extra single beds often on a different level) making them perfect for family stopovers.

The hotel restaurant offers bewildering sea views which stretch from Cala Moresca to Capo Montesanto – perfect for al-fresco dining and star gazing with an after dinner liquer – just the thing for incurable romantics.

Perhaps the icing on the cake at Monteturri is the awesome new decked area that sits down between the fantastic granite rocks way below the hotel. A glass funicular whisks you down to sea level where you will find sunbeds, umbrellas, life guard and steps into the turquoise coloured sea – you could not ask for more!
