I Trulli del Nonno Michele Locorotondo

The fantastic location of these beautifully restored ‘trulli’ make the perfect setting for a relaxing family holiday. Situated between the national heritage town of Alberbello and the bustling market town of Locorotondo, I Trulli del Nonno Michele is set in the wonderful Pugliese countryside permitting you plan your day over a lazy breakfast in the warm Italian air. Many stunning towns are just a short drive away and the tempting coastline is approximately 20 kms though you may not wish to leave the great pool and surroundings for too long.

The ‘multi-coned’ trullo has been transformed into 5 attractive and cosy apartments, all with their own little outside space for dining, reading or just day-dreaming. The accommodation is typical to the area with wrought iron beds, polished wood and local stone floors throughout – all apartments have kitchenettes furnished with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, air conditioning (payable locally) and shower rooms:

La Volta sleeps 2–4

Large studio apartment with original rustic fireplace. The entrance leads straight into the lounge area with kitchenette and single sofa bed.  There is double bed separated from the lounge area by a cupboard.

La Nicchia sleeps 2–3

Entrance leads into lounge area with single sofa bed. The double bed is found in an alcove and the kitchen is completely separate.

La Stella sleeps 2–4

Under the main cone of the trullo, the entrance leads into the lounge area with kitchenette and double sofa bed. The double bedroom is separate to the lounge area.

Il Sovrano sleeps 2–4

Entrancel leads into lounge area with kitchenette and a double sofa bed in alcove.  The double bedroom is separate but has to be passed through to get to the shower-room.

I Trulli sleeps 2–4

Spacious apartment with entrance into lounge area with kitchenette, a separate twin bedroom that leads through to the double bedroom which then leads on to the shower-room.

The pools tempts you at all times of the day – sun-loungers and umbrellas are provided and there a shallow area (30cm) for the younger guests. Bikes may be hired from reception should you wish to take in the scenery at a more relaxed pace but be warned, this area is quite hilly.

We are very pleased to have found this little haven in the middle of the renowned  Valle dell’Itria and hope that you will enjoy it to the full.
