This impressive masseria sits alone surrounded by the lovely Pugliese countryside, taking you a step back in time. The original building dates back to the 1700s and has a rather romantic feel to it. The main courtyard is the focal point with the restaurant tables spilling out into the brilliant sunshine and permitting you to dine under the stars in the evening.
The approach to Masseria Incantalupi is rustic and passes the well-known stables where guests may enjoy riding lessons and treks – all ages and levels of experience are welcome.
Beautiful and slightly unruly gardens lead off the courtyard ensuring that there is plenty of space for all the guests of the 11 rooms and you can stroll around the grounds before taking a dip in the gorgeous pool. Sunbeds are dotted around and the new addition of a small spa enables guests to enjoy some super treatments and massages during their stay.
The 11 rooms are all tastefully furnished, extremely spacious and all follow the lines of the original masseria. Size and décor vary from room to room and there is a choice of Junior Suites, Suites and Family Suites allowing couples, friends and families to enjoy this wonderful accommodation which is just 5km from the Adriatic coast.
The dining at Masseria Incantalupi has been carefully researches and traditional dishes using the freshest ingredients are prepared daily. Each morning the local staples of bread, focaccia, pasta and tarallini are made in the kitchen without which an Italian meal would not be complete. Neighbouring farms supply home-made cheeses and pasture-fed meat and the masseria still uses the ancient recipe, dating back to the monks who lived here for many years, to produce a delicious after-dinner ‘digestivo’ made of lemon, myrtle, laurel and wild orange. Not to be missed!
Masseria Incantalupi is a super addition to our Puglia programme and we consider it to excellent value for a short or long stay.
