Masseria Don Cirillo is an oasis of calm and elegance set in the middle of the southern Pugliese penisula. The Masseria has only 10 rooms, all in complete keeping with the original building so you may encounter more space than you imagined or some rather steep stone steps that access the tower rooms. The lush walled gardens are ample and you will find chairs and loungers dotted around the lawns – you need to talk to no-one if you do not wish to. The pool is a gentle stroll along herb scented paths and the outside covered breakfast area will encourage you to enjoy the home-made pastries and strong coffee in the warm morning air.

Another fabulous bonus at the Masseria is the small beauty centre “Li Foggi” – candles and muted lighting abound and the highly professional and qualified staff can offer a selection of personalised treatments for body, face and mind using olive leaves and essential oils – sheer heaven.

The Pugliese style is obvious from the moment you arrive – soft pastel colours, cream cottons and simple furnishings are abundant – stone walls, magnificent tiled floors and high ceilings may make you think that you in a palace! The bedrooms  are divided into 2 types, superior and deluxe, and all have wonderful views across the land boasting its gnarled olive trees,  mixed with fig and oak trees – some rooms have the bonus of looking over to the glimmering Ionian sea. All rooms, beautifully furnished with local materials, fine cottons and linens, are equipped with satellite TV, scented body-care products, shower or bath, hairdryer and your very own espresso coffee machine for that early morning fix!
