This wonderful masseria offers stylish and comfortable accommodation in a secluded countryside setting. Located in the south of Puglia, the nearby towns of Carpignano & Martano offer groceries, bars and restaurants. Close to lake Alumnhi and just 10 kilometres from the sea, this area boasts some of the finest beaches in southern Italy, and just a short drive to the popular and picturesque town of Otranto, which bursts to life in the summer months.

Set in 6 acres of olive groves, Masseria Camille offers a unique combination of a rural but contemporary  holiday experience for larger families or groups of friends travelling together. The masseria is designed in typical Pugliese style with imposing walls in keeping with its local tradition and surroundings. The Masseria was built using local ‘Leccesse’ stone and styled with original features such as ornate star ceilings and a stunning open fireplace in the main lounge.

Entry to the property takes you into the inner courtyard which with a fountain and lanterned cloisters giving it a Moorish feel. The rooms lead off from the courtyard and there is a spacious double bedroom with four poster bed (with additional sofa bed) and ensuite bathroom. To the right of the courtyard two good sized bedrooms face onto each other and share a bathroom, one with a four poster bed and one with bunk beds, perfect if having children close by is preferred. To the left of the courtyard lies a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom.

All bathrooms have been stylishly designed with a modern feel and marble throughout. There is an additional W.C. facing the internal courtyard. Backing onto the outer courtyard is a spacious lounge and separate kitchen including a fully equipped utility. All rooms have high vaulted ceilings and marble floors making the house not only beautiful but also keeping it wonderfully cool

The house is completely accessible for a wheelchair user along with shower accessibility for a wheelchair.

In the outer courtyard there is a spectacular infinity swimming pool. A covered pergola over a supersized exterior dining table (which seats 12!) means that all your meals may be taken ‘al-fresco’ from your early morning cup of tea to your after dinner ‘digestivo’ – true mediterranean living from the start to the finish. You can even make your own pizza in the traditional wood-burning Pizza oven.

With its stunning cloistered inner courtyard and expansive yet enclosed outer courtyard there is an abundance of exterior living space to enjoy and socialise in or find that quiet retreat to escape to and relax. In addition there is a substantial roof terrace offering views across the local countryside during the day and by night the perfect place for enjoying a chilled glass of wine to watch the sun set over the surrounding olive groves.
