Lu Triuzzu is a real gem if you are looking for something a little bit special set in an oasis of peace and tranquillity. The villa is completely independent and immersed in the local greenery offering superb views of the Sardinian countryside and magnificent granite rock formations. Its location is also perfect, a 10 minute car ride will take you to Porto Cervo where boutiques and designer names may be found in abundance along with some of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean. Taking the road in the other direction, Baia Sardinia, Cannigione and Palau, including the archipelago of La Maddalena are all easily accessible and offer a good choice of shops, restaurants and, of course, beaches.
‘We had a fantastic time, were well looked after from start to finish and the villa was beyond our expectations.’
Alan West-Robinson , Peterborough, UK
The private driveway, lined with indigenous plants and flowers, leads up to the pool area and front door. The villa is basically designed on one level but there are various steps indoors that tastefully break up the layout. The interior design has been planned with much love and the use of Sardinian materials is themed throughout the property from the inlaid juniper wood in some of the floors to the cork arched ceiling in one of the bedrooms.
The spacious open plan lounge boasts a large fireplace, round table for eating in doors (though when you see what is outside, this will be highly unlikely!), a sitting area and the well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, fridge freezer and hob. There is a back door that leads out on to another private, paved area where you may escape the heat and enjoy a quiet glass of chilled wine when ever you feel the need.
Leading off this lovely living area, you will find 3 bedrooms which have all been beautifully furnished. The twin bedroom (which can easily be made into a double) is nearest to the front door and the other two double bedrooms lead off the lounge area and boast big french windows that open out into a delightful little grassed garden – perfect for reading your book or sunbathing if you are able to tear yourself away from the pool side.
The swimming pool can only be described as fantastic. The granite rocks were dug away and the natural basin was then turned into the pool – when you swim you still get the most amazing views as one side is completely unobstructed. Comfy deckchairs line the edge for sunbathers and should you get a little hungry after all that swimming, there is great built in barbeque just waiting for some charcoal and some freshly caught fish. The enormous wooden table that sits between the barbeque and the pool is probably the central point of the whole villa and will no doubt be the home to many lovely ‘al fresco’ breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
The owners are understandably very proud of their new home and very
much look forward to sharing it with you – we think that will
be one of those destinations that you might have to visit again and
again.
