Immersed in immaculate olive groves the main house is a converted old masseria, creating a wonderful country mansion and a unique 'home-from-home' in a great location

Entry to the main house is into very comfortable communal areas. There are two large living rooms with open fireplaces, from here there is access to the colourful dining room where Silvia prepares fabulous evening meals and morning buffet breakfast (when possible dining is outside in the garden).

The rooms are a wonderful combination of modern and traditional local design. Marvellous Sicilian floors and modern bathrooms combine to provide a unique feel and comfort.

There are six double bedrooms, all ensuite. Two of which have a terrace.

There are three suites:

Agave – double bedroom, bathroom with shower and living room with sofa bed

Oliva – double bedroom, bathroom with bath, single bedroom with bathroom with shower, living room 

Arancio – double bedroom, bathroom with shower and living room with sofa bed.

The grounds of Mandranova are extensive and immaculately kept. In front of the house is outdoor seating and approximately the pool is 150 metres from the house, which is raised above the house and has a good view towards the coastline (the pool has the appearance of being carved out of the rock).

Most of the estate is given over to olive trees, Mandranova produces one of the best olive oils in Italy. Giuseppe, the owner, will be more than happy to show you the olive press and production. Visitors in late October – November are invited to get involved with the harvest and pressing.

In addition, it is possible to rent the owners boat (which can take up to 6 people). Lunch is provided on board and the cost is €400 for the day (payable locally). A great experience.

The location and quality of Mandranova ensures guests have easy access many of the local sites of historical importance. Not forgetting the wonderful beaches which lie across the valley (about a 20 minute drive).

For guests looking for more privacy and freedom, there is also a private villa in the grounds of Mandranova, Il Casello. The villa sleeps 4 and guests can benefit from the use of the hotel pool and restaurant whilst basking in your own private garden and terraces.
