Essential Italy

This elegant villa, named after the many scented lemon trees in the area, is in a wonderful position with spectacular views over the bay of Naples. The pretty town of Massa Lubrense is just 2kms away, and Marina della Lobra – with restaurants and a characteristic harbour are just 3.5 kms down the hillside.

Entry through a small gate leads you on a wonderful terrace which sweeps around the entire length of the property. From the side, you enter the air-conditioned lounge  which has french doors opening out onto the terrific front terrace. The cool lounge is very comfortably furnished with the bonus of a fantastic white baby grand piano which adds a touch of class even if you cannot play. The interior of La Limonaia has been tastefully furnished throughout with typical Sorrentino blue floor tiles giving it a lovely fresh feel.

The kitchen has been equipped with cooking practicalities in mind and there is an oven, hob and fridge-freezer. Dining under the blue sky is an everyday occurence in Amalfi, and you can access the terrace from the kitchen so that even the ‘cook’ may enjoy the superb views. A small bathroom is to be found between the kitchen and lounge area.

Stairs lead up to two double bedrooms at the front of the villa both with ensuite bathrooms (one with bathtub and air conditioning). There is also a small twin room with ensuite bathroom which has 2 single sofa beds making it ideal for children. At the rear of the house are two further double bedrooms, both ensuite, that lead out directly onto the upper terrace.

The terrific pool is to one side of the house and is equipped with sun loungers and shady areas. There is a great wood burning oven and barbeque, so home made pizzas and tasty grilled fish can be regulars on the menu. Take your pick of sunshine or shade, just sit back and admire the view that can only be described as breathtaking!
